So there he was, one of the early entrants, taking his time out to do some talking for the cameras at Samir Mondal’s show, ‘The Faded Manuscript’ on Monday evening at the Jehangir Art Gallery. The artist too found himself doing some interviews in between attending to the guests along with wife Madhumita.
Pravina and Jamal Meckalai, at their colourful and vivacious best, played the perfect hosts. Artists Brinda Chudasama Miller and Gautham Mukherjee hung around for some time. Naina Kanodia, who walked in with her husband, exclaimed to Samir, "The title was a bit misleading, I was expecting something else. This is fabulous!"
Ajay De, in his trademark hat, was overheard talking about his impending trip to San Fransisco, while Kahini Arte Merchant was seen taking a round of the gallery alone. The social circuit was represented by Ryan Brown, Remu and Naaz Zaveri, Poonam Soni, Nisha Jamvwal, Vinod Nair, Jimy and Ranjan Kapoor and a host of others. The swish set later headed for a dinner hosted by the Meckalais.
