Think exotic Bollywood and you’re bound to think of locations like Switzerland, London and the likes. Now Japan wants a piece of the B-town pie too.
A recent do exploring a range of exciting opportunities offered by the land of the rising sun was quite well attended. Noted B-town personalities including Aparna Sen, Abhinav Kashyap and Arti Surendranath avidly discussed new and innovative ways to facilitate an exchange of cultural, creative literary and technical knowledge between the two.
Representing Japan in this discussion were top level officials including Tamon Mochida, the consulate general and Naoyoshi Yamada. And while Asha Parekh and the late Joy Mukherjee were felicitated for their yester-year classic Love in Tokyo, Aparna’s The Japanese Wife was critically acclaimed by all. Also making her presence and views felt was the stunning princess Shivangini Rajyalaxmi Rana.
