Anniversary cheer for China House

Rocky S and Muzzamil Ibrahim (TOI photo)It was hip hop till the top with a generous dose of rhythm and blues thrown in for good measure at the first anniversary of China House, Grand Hyatt, Mumbai on Wednesday night.
Spinning their special brand of magic were DJs Kray Twinz in matching yellow tees. The buzz was at the bar and in the private spaces with cocktail chatter blending with the sounds from the console that made you want to move and groove to the beat.Some people did just that, others caught up with friends. The place was quite dark and the faces in the dark included Kelly Dorji in his casual chic garb (read: jacket over shirt with no tie).
The same dress code was followed by Upen Patel who was in another corner. At the bar was a formally-dressed Rocky S. Jumping all over the place was Hard Kaur looking pretty in pink. Film directors Sanjay Gupta and Aaditya Dutt made an appearance as did Naved Jafferey who seemed to be enjoying the music. Also in the house were Zulfi Syed in a football tee, Shahwar Ali, Babita Malkani, Asad Shan, Muzzamil Ibrahim, Shruti Agarwal, Binal Trivedi, Ameet Gaurr, Inder Kumar, Aushima, Harpreet Baweja and Brian Brown. Even cricketer Parthiv Patel was there and he seemed to be on a good wicket.
