Kolkata can never have enough of RD Burman. The more his music, the merrier it is for the city’s music lovers. And when on a recent Friday, the tribute concert, Hamara Pancham, featured 12 musicians from Pancham’s team, Kolkatans turned up in hordes at Kala Mandir to lap up every moment of the musical soiree.
For the first time, Pt Ulhas Bapat (santoor) and famous vocalist Annette Pinto performed on stage with Franco Vaz, Ramesh Iyer and Kishore Sodha, among others.
Tribute was also paid to saxophonist Manohari Singh, a key member of RD Burman’s team.
