A treat for art lovers in Mumbai
Connoisseurs of art are in for a delightful treat, thanks to Neville Tulli and Sangita Sinh Kathiwada.
A sneak-peek of their upcoming venture was revealed on Saturday evening, through a preview of the artworks.
Rajat Kapoor, the suave actor who confessed to have learnt a lot about art ever since his association with them as an auctioneer, spoke informed-ly about the changing trends in art buying and selling as well as those in preferences, though he maintained, “the masters and veterans have and will always find takers.

There’s no substitute for their exemplary talent.”
The preview, which was a cosy affair spent over wine, kebabs and Indian savouries, saw quite a few art-lovers in tow. Dolly Thakore made quite a statement in her regalia, even as she immersed herself in deep conversation with fellow guests, speaking about the time she acquired certain maestros’ paintings for prices that’ll, “make your eyes pop out in disbelief today!” Priyasri Patodia made a social appearance after eons, dazzling the gathering with her new svelte avatar combined with old-world charm, even as she rushed out to add finishing touches to an ambitious upcoming show of hers. Sarayu Doshi and Pheroza Godrej were seen trading notes over some small Raza paintings, a rarity in themselves. All in all, it was an evening well spent amidst great art and lively conversation.
