A starry evening for Kolkata

It is not everyday that we get to see so many stars from Bollywood turn up for an event in the city.
On Saturday evening, at a five-star hotel, stars walked the red carpet for the 16th annual get-together of a journal, published from Kolkata. There was Jumping Jack Jeetendra wearing his inimitable white jacket, along with Bollywood baddie Prem Chopra.
Also present were Raza Murad, and Farooq Sheikh.Jeetendra said, ���I have been coming to the city quite often. If my memory serves me right, the last film I shot here was a southern venture.���
Actor Gauri Karnik and Rajeshwari Sachdev were the emcees for the evening that was also attended by dancer-actor Prachi Shah and Pooja Bedi.
The highlight of the evening was a performance by Alka Yagnik, who belted out hit numbers like Zara tasweer se nikal ke... and You are my Sonia. On the style front, the menfolk came in their formals, whereas ladies preferred their printed and embroidered saris.
