A starry do in Pune

A galaxy of stars from the tinseltown descended to the city at a recent prestigious award ceremony.
Apart from yesteryear heartthrob Zeenat Aman, other prominent actors from cinema and television — Vinay Pathak, Smita Jaykar, Bharat Jadhav, Subodh Bhave and Amruta Khanvilkar — were felicitated for their contribution to their respective fields. Singer Aarti Anklikar Tikekar too received an award for her outstanding contribution to classical music.Marathi film producer and director Mahesh Tilekar was also present at the do.
Light-hearted conversations and jokes filled the air as the awardees interacted with the audience.
When Zeenat Aman, looking pretty in a simple salwar-kameez, was asked if she would like to do a Marathi film, she modestly replied that she would have to take lessons in the language to perfect it. Actor Vinay Pathak spoke about his love for acting. Actress Smita Jaykar was all smiles as she spoke about her experience of having acted as a mother in most of her films. When asked about her favourite ‘children’, she promptly said, “Aamir Khan and Hrithik Roshan.” The actress also added that Salman Khan is a brat. Amongst candid conversations and confessions, the event turned out to be real fun.
