A range of finely handcrafted sets in diamonds, rubies, sapphires and emeralds. Sanjay Salla and Ajay Salla, Directors, V N Jewellers, played hosts to the hilt, looking after their guests even as celebrated author Shobhaa De who looked stunning to say the least, sporting two exquisite pieces from the line officially launched the line.Denying the claim that chunky jewellery is not her style, Shobhaa remarked, "Of course it is! I simply love to revel in huge stones."
Aditi Govitrikar and Kim Sharma too were amongst the luminaries to launch this line. Aditi was seen admiring the jewellery keenly; "I love big diamonds, the bigger the better and this collection has all the stuff my dreams are made of!" laughed Aditi.
Kim, looking stunning in a black number, was accompanied by her equally gorgeous mother and it was endearing to see the duo engrossed in going through the collection studiously. Kim, when quizzed by someone about whether she believed in wearing certain stones for gemmological reason, quipped, "Oh no, I simply love jewellery and if a piece catches my eye and suits my pocket, I just go for it."
Leena Mogre made a brief appearance at this do, which surprisingly had more than its fair share of men drop in for a dekko, including Viren Shah, Gary Richardson, Kishen Kumar, Basab Paul, Ajinkya Patil and Sanjeev Kapoor. Here’s to the new-age metrosexual man! May the tribe increase.
