Bringing a smile on the face of alll was the intention behind the
100 Santa project
. On Sunday they were seen in and around Juhu,
Bandra
Reclamation, Kalina,
Mankhurd
and Dharavi. Glimpses of the kids enjoying their gifts, singing Christmas carols and playing games made it evident how thoughtful the idea was to make this Christmas Special.
The kids were excited to meet Santas in real life and were eager to open the gifts that they got. Most of them opened the gifts and started playing with their toys and using their colouring sets immediately. They also sang Christmas carols with the Santas and played games as well.
Says
Sumit Singh Gandhi
who initiated the 100 Santa Project, "We are associated with the
Sounds of Silence
which helps hearing impaired people and they were eager to give back to the society, so we decided to do this with them. They were happy to turn Santa for a day and wish to do this again next year. We also had like-minded individuals come together with a purpose, which was to be a Santa for a day."
