With the onset of the festive season, Lucknowites are in a mood for celebrations. That’s why, when the play Kaumudi was staged at the Sant Gadge Auditorium at UP Sangeet Natak Akademi as part of Repertwahr Weekends, it witnessed a full house.

The play attracted theatre lovers and enthusiasts of all age groups, who came to witness one of the masterpieces written and directed by Abhishek Majumdar.
The plot revolved around a father’s role and a son’s dilemma, where Satyasheel, an aging artist, faces a slow decline in his vision, leading him to contemplate giving up on his art. As a result, he must collaborate with a young actor famous for his role as Abhimanyu in theatres. This one of a kind theater within a theatre was performed by a stellar cast, including Kumud Mishra, Shubhrajyoti Barat, Gopal Datt and Sandeep Shikhar.
