UP TO A LOT OF THEATRICS: The play Troy, staged by children aged between 12-16 years from a local theatre group, at Sangeet Natak Academy on Monday evening was a success from the word go.
The auditorium was filled to capacity, with city folk coming in large numbers to watch the theatrical comedy based on the popular story of the Trojan war.
HEAR ME OUT: The chief guest for the evening, Carlyle McFarland, when called upon to give a brief introduction of the play, spoke at length about the story of the play and also how the students had prepared for it.

“Girls are as it is known for their theatrics, but today they will surprise you with their immense talent in it. And please do not judge them if they fumble or forget their lines, they are after all young school kids. So watch it like you would any school concert,” he said. Guest of Honour Dr Manjula Goswami also encouraged the kids to perform well.
very funny: Directed by Faisal Hussain and Mohammad Rashid, the spoof had the entire auditorium in splits for the entire hour of its duration. Parodies of songs like We Will Rock You were substituted for war cries.
