It is rare for guests in Lucknow to reach an exhibition much before the given time. But Sharad Pandey’s art show on 100 years of Indian cinema, gave us the chance to witness this rare sight. Not did the art lovers reach much before time, they also saw the entire exhibition before the inaugural ceremony. “Oh, I simply love Sharad’s work. And yeh toh cinema pe hai, my favourite subject,” said Lalita Pradeep, who was planning to blog about the hat ke exhibition.
Of the many art works on display, the ones that elicited the maximum response were those on item girls. Whether it was Malaika Arora Khan in Munni Badnam Hui or Vidya Balan in Dirty Picture, the sketches brought a smile on the faces of the spectators.
Ravi Kapoor came with son Kushal and the father-son duo were spotted admiring Sharad’s work together. And even though Jayant Krishna had an event lined up in his office that same evening, he made sure he was there for his friend Sharad.
