Ravish Desai, were in Lucknow for the promotion of their shows 'Tera Baap Mera Baap' and 'Kuwara Hai Par Humara Hai'. The duo, who were very impressed with Lucknow and its people, went out for sightseeing in the city. For Ravish, the lush green surroundings of the Gomti Riverfront and the river itself was a very pleasing sight. “After a busy life in Mumbai, it’s good to visit a city like Lucknow where one can just relax,” said Ravish enjoying the slight nip in the air as he walked around the riverfront.
"I have heard so much about this city from my colleagues and friends that I was really looking forward to this visit.
The mannerism, the nawabi culture and most importantly the warmth of the people here, everything is very pleasing. The parks, the greenery, yeh nadi, all of it is so beautiful that one can never get over of this scenic beauty," said the actor who plays Manav in 'Kuwara Hai Par Humara Hai'.
But being a pure vegetarian, Ravish missed out on having the famous Tundey ke kebabas while in the city. "I keep on hearing people praising the kebabs so much, but then I thoroughly enjoyed having Lakhnawi vegetarian dishes," said he.

As for Rajiv Thakur, a visit to Lucknow meant shopping for chikan clothes for his wife and kids. The stand-up comedian went to a popular chikan shop in the city and bought saris and kurtas for his family. "Jab Lucknow ao toh wife ki ek hi demand hoti hai – for a chikan suit. I tell her that I don't eat chicken, but you want to wear chikan? So, finally after showing her some designs over the phone, she selected two suits for herself," said the comedian, who plays a double role in 'Tera Baap Mera Baap'. But like Ravish, Rajiv also loved the lush green parks in the city. "Aise parks Bombay mein dekhne ko nahi milte hain. The parks here are awesome and one can spend a lot of time relaxing there. I think these kinds of places should be taken care of, kyunki jiss hisab se pollution badh raha hai, greenery is what is the needed. Just look at the river Gomti, it is so beautiful but with all those weeds growing in it and the way it is kept is very disheartening," he said.
