, and the show witnessed a full house. The play, which was a prelude to the LGBTQI parade in Lucknow, was a mono- act by Mona in which the protagonist comes to know about her son’s sexual leaning. The adaptation of the Marathi play of the same name, also saw members of the LGBTQI community from all over India in attendance. In fact, touched by Mona’s acting, several of them were left teary-eyed. Venkatesh, who came all the way from Kolkata, seemed quite happy with the play being staged in Lucknow. “I was sceptical whether people would turn up for such an event, but I am pleasantly surprised to see the auditorium jam-packed!” he said.
