Making Sundays merrier with Happy Streets

In its fourth week now, Happy Streets again witnessed an even bigger crowd this Sunday morning at the Marine Drive in Gomti Nagar. This initiative of the Times of India in association with Uttar Pradesh Tourism, has been making the Sunday mornings merriers for Lucknow folks during the last four weeks.

Lucknowites turned up in large numbers and particpated in activities like Zumba, Yoga, Tug of War, Hula Hoop, among others. Zumba sessions by Arpita Bhutani pumped up many attendees while others were enthralled by the bachata dance session by Ayaz Sheikh, a choreographer, along with Zoya Khan and Tanya Sinha. The Rising Star reality show fame Friendship Band performed also at the event and had people dancing to their tunes. The highlight of their performance was a befitting tribute to late singer KK.

Off-stage activities included cycling, football, cricket, golf, basketball, carrom, boxing, skating, archery, push-up plank challenge and many other that were enjoyed by adults and kids alike. Several posed for pics at the TOI standee put up at the venue.
Happy Street was a special day for Kunal Jethanandani, a specially-abled boy who was seen dancing being seated in his wheelchair.
