Lucknowites run for a healthy life

The fourth edition of

Lucknow City Half Marathon

, organized by a private organization got a resounding response from city folk. The slogan for the

marathon

this time was ‘Running for a healthy You’ in which

Abhishek Mishra

, the first Ultraman and Ironman and one of the organisers, was spotted leading the run with more than 4000 participants including a few differently abled ones too.

Participants from all over the country like Mumbai, Kochi Kolkata, Guwahati, Pune, Chennai and more were present to take active participation in the marathon.

Kaushal Raj Sharma, District Magistrate of Lucknow, Kamini Ratan Chauhan, Commissioner, Commercial Tax, Deepak Chauhan, IG Traffic, Lucknow along with Sanjay Gupta, Executive Vice-President of the organisation, flagged off the 21km, 10km and 5km run, respectively.

The run started from the 1090 Crossing covering various landmarks including the Ambedkar Park and Janeshwar Mishra Park and then back to the starting point, amid cheering and applause. Later, the three winners, Satendra Singh, Gaurav Rana and Manohar Singh Mehra, were felicitated by the chief guests.
