Lucknowites high on fashion and fun at these horse races

On a bright and crisp Lucknow morning, the Army Commander’s Cup brought together an enthusiastic crowd, at the Lucknow Race Course for a spirited day filled with energetic horse races. In the Indian Bred Horse Race, fierce competition unfolded as Burak surged ahead to take the top spot for owner Mohd Abdullah, with jockey Mohd Shoil at the helm, while Golden Boy secured second place for owner Shabab Abbas Naqvi.

The excitement continued with the second race, where Command Post led the field to victory for owner Mohd Abdullah, ridden by jockey Mohd Shoil. The final race of the day, the thoroughbred horse race, delivered a spectacular climax. The Inheritor clinched the win for owner JN Mathur, ridden by jockey Shaurabh Rawat. As all the races concluded, Lt Gen Anindya Sengupta, Lt Gen Mukesh Chadha and Maj Gen Salil Seth took the stage to present the trophies to the winners.

A series of awards were also presented by Ruchira Sengupta, president of AWWA Central Command, Rashmi Chadha, regional vice president of AWWA and Shikha Seth, chairperson of AWWA MUPSA.

The Made for Each Other award celebrated two couples, with Col Krishnan and Maj Shalni Bhaduri winning in the young couple category and Rajneesh Chopra and Anjali were honoured among senior couples.
