Lucknowites enjoyed the taste of this Purane Chawal

A multitude of a crowd made their way to Sangeet Natak Akademi to watch the play Purane Chawal directed by Sumeet Vyas. The play, which is adapted from Neil Simon’s two-act play The Sunshine Boys, was part of the Repertwahr Weekends, which was dedicated to late Raj Bisaria.

The play was about two veteran theatre artists, Khushaal Mehendi and Vijay Das, whose successful theatrical journey spanned an impressive 42 years until one day Vijay decided to quit.

The audience, glued to their seats till the end, loved the hilarious puns and unremarkable humour. The breathtaking chemistry between Kumud Mishra and Shubhrajyoti Barat on stage as Khushaal and Vijay was truly cherished by everyone.
