Lucknowites bowled over by the T20 match in the city
It seemed as if all roads led to the Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Tuesday as India played against West Indies in the second T20 match in the city. More than 50 thousand people from the city and around, gathered at the stadium to watch the match which was the first international one to be played in Lucknow in over two decades.
Watching the match in all enthusiasm was Ram Naik, governor UP and both state deputy CMs Dr Dinesh Sharma and Keshav Prasad Maurya. The who’s who of the city was also spotted cheering for team India at the stadium including Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple, Subrata and Swapna Roy, Abhijit Sarkar along with wife Priyanka and Sanjay Seth among others.
