Ila Arun and KK Raina bring the house down in Lucknow

The Cultural Department of Uttar Pradesh organized an event with the play Namaste Jai Shree Krishna staged at the

Sangeet Natak Akademi

, recently. The event saw all the theatre lovers and theatre veterans from the city come to watch it. Veteran theatre artists Ila Arun and KK Raina flew from Mumbai to perform in the play.
The who’s who of the city, including OP Singh, DGP, UP, along with Dr Hari Om, IAS and Poornima Pandey, Director SNA and secretary Rubeena Baig were at SNA to enjoy the evening.

Adapted from Tom Dudzick’s play of the name Greetings! the story revolved around the contradictions in a family when the son brings home his girlfriend of a different culture and dialect, and the problem faced by the son in hiding the fact the girl is his girlfriend. Written and directed by Ila Arun and KK Raina, the play had the audience in splits with them creating magic with their chemistry on stage.
