Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra expected at Saifai Mahotsav grand finale

Year after year, the Saifai Mahotsav has seen an impressive line-up of Bollywood stars flying down to perform at Samajwadi Party’s annual extravaganza. While last year, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt and Madhuri Dixit’s presence at the Mahotsav snowballed into a controversy, owing to the Muzaffarnagar tragedy, this year, it’s going to be Hrithik Roshan, Shahid Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra leading the Bollywood brigade, according to sources.Hrithik and PC had earlier performed at the 2012 edition of the Mahotsav too.
Says a source, “Hrithik Roshan and Shahid Kapoor will be performing in Saifai on January 8, which is the final day of the Mahotsav. Also expected to join them are Priyanka and Parineeti Chopra (who will be making her debut at Saifai this year), along with Saifai regulars like Zarine Khan and Mallika Sherawat. The final list of the performers will be confirmed by January 6."
The fortnight-long Mahotsav was inaugurated on December 26 by Mulayam Singh Yadav in the presence of CM Akhilesh Yadav and Jaya Bachchan, who was the chief guest at the occasion. Yesterday, singer Hans Raj Hans performed at the devotional music programme. Folk singer Malini Awasthi will be performing on the evening of December 30, along with a fire dance performance by a troupe from New Zealand. Singer-composer Shashi Suman, who recently composed for Mary Kom, will perform on December 31 along with singer Supriya Joshi. There will be a fireworks display on the midnight of December 31 to bring in the New Year, while actress Monica Bedi will perform on January 1. Singer Ghulam Ali is expected to be the guest singer at the Shaam-e-Ghazal on January 2. Mulayam Singh Yadav’s choti bahu, Aparna, will also be performing on January 8 at the finale.
The Mr UP Bodybuilding Championship is also a part of the Mahotsav this year. Being organized today, the event will see Mr World 2014 Sangram Chougule and Asian Games Gold Medallist Bobby Singh attending the Championship.
