The first-day of the curtain raiser began with a kick-start celebrating the theatre maestro’s birth centenary in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Cultural Department, with the play Charandas Chor. The narrative of the play revolved around the protagonist Charandas, played effortlessly by Satish Vyam, a habitual thief discontented with his life. The act begins with Charandas who is on the run, stealing a gold plate to escape from the police, using his wit and charm.
