This one man show gets a standing ovation

A gripping storytelling performance titled Kaand by Vijit Singh, also known as ‘Musafir Kissewala’, left everyone who attended it deeply stunned by the solo act. Staged at the Thrust Auditorium of Bhartendu Natya Academy, the unique performance was based on a true story about a gruesome murder that took place in Uttar Pradesh.

Written and directed by Vijit, known for his skillful narrative presentation, the monologue depicted two shades of the story, where one highlighted the story of Shabnam along with her boyfriend Salim, who brutally murdered seven members of her family to get married for which she was sentenced to capital punishment by the court. The jam-packed auditorium gave a standing ovation to Musafir Kissewala’s act towards the end.
