Farhan to visit his grandfather’s village in UP today

Playing a Lucknowite in the film 'Lucknow Central' and also shooting for it for close to a month in Lucknow earlier this year, actor Farhan Akhtar’s bond with UP has just strengthened with time. Tracing his roots to Khairabad, a town near Sitapur, the actor has decided to renew his bond with his native place where his grandfather was born. Farhan will be visiting Khairabad today to see the place his grandfather belonged to.
"Farhan is playing a Lucknowite in his latest film and since he also shot in Lucknow for a considerable time, He felt a deep connect with the state his father’s side of the family belongs to. And so he decided to visit Khairabad and see his ancestral house," informs a source close to the actor, adding, "This will be Farhan's first visit to his native village and he is very kicked about it. He will be driving down from Lucknow to Khairabad and spending the day there. He specially wants to see his grandfather's house there."
