As part of the art programme, a cultural evening was organised for the visiting delegations, which also saw the presence of art lovers from Lucknow. Anuradha Goel was the Guest of Honour at the event, which saw prominent city folk like Jayant Krishna, Vipul and Anuj Varshney, and Vinod and Abha Singh in attendance. Even though the event started behind schedule, it wrapped up on time, leaving the late lateefs arriving close to the end of the show, quite surprised.
The show started with a classical fusion dance performance, with Odissi, Kathak and Bharatnatyam styles being showcased, after which each dancer took to the stage individually to perform their respective dance styles. While the fusion act received applause, the individual acts were also quite appreciated. Y Ashakumari from Delhi showcased the nine avatars of Goddess Durga in her Odissi performance, while Surbhi Shukla of the Lucknow gharaana represented the kathak fraternity. Local Bharatnatyam dancer Amrit Sinha earned special praise from the audience.
