WALKING DOWN MEMORY LANE: Continuing the tradition of meeting on Sunday morning for some gupshup and chai, the old boys of a boys’ college recently met to celebrate the event, Jashn-e-Itwar’s 400th edition. Around 100 alumni, along with their families, came to take a walk down memory lane and enjoy the celebrations. What made the do more special was the presence of several teachers and the former principal of the college who too joined the celebrations.
OLD IS GOLD: A student of the 1960 batch Vishan Prakash, said, "It really feels nice to be here, meeting old friends today, several childhood memories got refreshed."
SCHOOL-TIME STORIES: Sharing some fond memories of the days spent in school, Deep Prakash recalled how he was beaten up not only by his teacher but also his dad for a mischief. "I am not complaining about being beaten up here because today whatever I am is because of that only. We really miss this institution and a big thank you to this institution for everything."
Another pass-out Anurag Mishra getting nostalgic, shared, "It is a pleasure and honour being back here. You feel as if you have never grown up. Every time I visit the college, it feels like I am still one of those 15-16 year old boys who is studying here. Every day spent here is a memory." Adding further with a laugh, he said, "I used to be mostly on the field with my friends and the teachers used to scold us. We have been to the principal’s room a couple of times and as a punishment got beaten up with a cane too."
