An exhibition titled Samsara held in Lucknow

A craft exhibition titled ‘Samsara’ was held recently at Kala Srot Art Gallery in Aliganj, displaying Ajrakh, art, which is rarely seen these days. The artist Divyanshu Rastogi, grandson of theatre veteran Dr Anil Rastogi, exhibited a total of 65 such art works.

Fashion designer Asma Hussain inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp, along with Ravi Bhatt, Dr Anil Rastogi, Ravi Kapoor, JK Aggarwal and Mohammad Shakil.

"Nowadays we don’t see youngsters indulging in rare crafts which are on the verge of extinction and Divyanshu has done a great work reviving a craft which is very hard to practice and it takes a very long time to complete a single piece," said Asma.
