An artistic journey through stone and terracotta

A group of five artists brought twenty-five sculptures made from stone and terracotta to Lucknow in an exhibition. Art lovers explored this unique display of creativity at this art gallery in Aliganj inaugurated by Prof P Rajiv Nayan, Dean of Fine Arts and Performing Arts.
The exhibit, titled Shilp Shristi, brought together two traditional art forms, terracotta and stone highlighting their distinct textures, shapes and techniques.

Artist Shamsher said, “In my work, I have connected the old and the new. The stone in my work represents the ancient traditions connected to my place of birth, while the modern metals symbolize progress and change. Together, they tell the story of my journey from the past to the future.”
