A world of art in Lucknow

Students from over 100 schools across India, Bangladesh, and West Asia submitted 739 entries for the international painting competition and art exhibition held recently in the city.

The theme of the paintings was ‘The Colours of Life’ and paintings, displayed against the lush, floral beauty of the venue, created a multihued artwork of their own. Dr Amrita Dass, an educationist, and the oragnaiser of the exhibition said, “This is a unique initiative to nurture budding artists in the early stages of their lives and provide them with a global platform to showcase their creativity.” A visitor to the exhibition, Bina Krishna said, “The exhibition is displayed so beautifully, they really bring out the colours of life. It is so heartening to see the depth of talent that these little students possess.”
