A unique mix of electronic and organic sounds at this Jazz concert

Lucknow witnessed a unique jazz concert by an Indo-French band with a taste of French art and culture at a well-known city school recently. The event was a part of the All-India festival Bonjour India being celebrated across the Alliance Francaise network by the Embassy of France in India and the Institut Francais en Inde. The cultural arm of the event was to celebrate 75 years of Indo-French friendship.

The performance had the audience foot-tapping to the beat and even motivated some to break out in dance. Vincent Miny, Directeur Alliance française de
Lucknow, welcomed Alice Gauny, India Coordinator, who spoke about the friendship that the two countries have had. Carlyle McFarland, Principal of the school, spoke about the long-standing French ties between India and France.

The presidential address was delivered by Zohra Chatterji who spoke about the interdependence of France and India and how the two countries are strategic partners and the relationship is only growing. The artists, Arfaaz Kagalwala, Florent Silve and Martin Saccardy,
presented a powerful ethnic-electro performance, mixing electronic and organic sounds.
