A soulful evening to remember

Anaahat, a classical music evening with the performance of Ramprapanna Bhattacharya and Tushar Sahai took place at an art gallery recently. The evening was organised by a classical musical group led by Abhishek Sharma. The elegance of the sitar played by Ramprapanna echoed in the art gallery for two-and-a-half hours, which was appreciated by the audience.

Among the audience were senior classic musicians, vocalists, and guru who enjoyed the sitar recital by Ramprapanna who received a standing ovation for playing Drut Ektaal Gat composed by Pt. Budhaditya Mukherjee, a Drut Teental by legendary Ustad Shahid Parvez, and Jhanak Jhanak Payal Baje composed by legendary Ustad Amir Khan Sahab. The soulful music event concluded with the evergreen Faiyaz Khan Sahab’s Thumri in Khamaj Na Manungi, Na Manungi, Na Manungi.
