A ‘play’ful memory dedicated to actor Nirmal Pandey

Celebrating the 65th birth anniversary of late film actor Nirmal Pandey, the play Panchhi Ja, Panchhi Aa was staged at the Sangeet Natak Academy. Directed by Sangam Bahuguna, the play was an adaptation of the French play, Boeing Boeing, by playwright Marc Camoletti.

The story of the 105-minute-long play revolved around the life of Sameer, who is engaged to three girls, all of whom are air hostesses. The plane of his life goes into turbulence when one day his friend Jagdish arrives at his home. Later, the plot thickens when, like a perfect storm of romantic chaos, all three of Sameer’s lovers descend upon his abode on the same fateful day.
Ambrish Bobby in the role of Sameer, and Vikas Srivastava in the role of Jagdish, were highly appreciated by the audience.
