A filmy get-together in Lucknow!

recently which included 'Mulk' director Anubhav Sinha, actors Manoj Pahwa, Sushil Pandey and well-known Lucknowites including Padma Shri Dr

, among others. The event was anchored by Husain Waheed and a number of ghazals and sher related to Holi were recited by a few among the audience.

The star attraction of the event was obviously Anubhav, who impressed people with his speech at the event. "When we were kids living in Banaras, I remember, my father’s best friend was Ashraf uncle who we loved and he loved us as much. He was a regular at our place and would always be there to celebrate all the festivals with us. But strangely, he would be served food in utensils different from the ones that were used at home. So my sister and I questioned my mother about it that why was Ashraf uncle served in separate utensils. My mother was also perplexed by our question and said that she was just following an age-old tradition. But from that day onwards, Ashraf uncle would be served in the same utensils that we ate in. So there was no division of any sort in our family and I wish the same would happen everywhere in the country."

Later, both Sinha and Pahwa were surrounded by fans who congratulated them for Mulk. Inundated with requests for selfies, Sinha, Pandey and Pahwa were left wanting for refreshments which included gujhiyas and thandai.
