A cultural extravaganza at the Founder’s Day celebrations

Avadh Girls’ Degree College recently celebrated its 45th Founder’s Day with grandeur and gaiety. Zarine Viccajee graced the occasion as Chief Guest. The event started with the lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, along with Mira Sethi, Prof. Nishi Pandey and Dr. Upma Chaturvedi, former Principal of the college.

Shreya Mishra, Medha Pandey, Priti Pandey and Mahak Jeevan started the event with a Ganpati Vandana.Next to come on stage was Wafa Mirza, who enchanted the audience with her melodious rendition of Nida Fazli’s ghazal Hosh Waalon Ko, accompanied by Ankita Rai on the keyboard. The event also witnessed a vibrant display of Indian folk culture with an exuberant giddha dance performance by Chayansi Pahuja, Neha Prajapati, Ayushi Sharma, Rashi Juneja, Deeksha Yadav, Kashish Bahal, Yaashika, Sapna Kumari, Kumkum Yadav and Sonam Singh under the mentorship of Dr S Sahai and Dr H Maheshwari.
