On the 154th birth anniversary of renowned writer and playwright Bharatendu Harishchandra, Bharatendu Natya Academy organized a special event to honour this cornerstone of literature and theatre. In the first part of the event, former students who achieved the highest marks were felicitated by Bipin Kumar, Director of Bharatendu Natya Akademi, and Anil Kumar, IAS.

The second half of the event featured a drama performance by the first-year students of Bharatendu Natya Akademi. The play, Bhartendu Vyaktitv, written and directed by Abhishek Pandit, paid homage to the iconic legacy of Bharatendu Harishchandra, who is referred to as the father of modern Hindi literature.

The story of the play revolved around his life, his passion and his love for the Hindi language, history and theatre. Ashish Mishra, in the role of Bharatendu Harishchandra, and Nandini Singh as Manno Devi, along with the entire cast, were highly appreciated for their remarkable performances.
