Lion dances and lanterns light up Chinese Culture day at a city school
Attendees actively engaged in a diverse array of activities showcasing the heart of Chinese heritage. The program featured captivating performances like the traditional lion dance, alongside hands-on sessions for dumpling making, Chinese painting, and paper folding. Guests also enjoyed immersive experiences such as crafting Chinese lanterns, colouring Beijing opera masks, papercutting, exploring the Chinese zodiac, making Chinese fans, and designing bookmarks inspired by traditional Chinese art.
This cultural initiative, held at a school in Kolkata, aimed to foster deeper cross-cultural understanding and provided participants with valuable exposure to global customs, traditions, and artistic expressions. It offered a unique chance to directly experience the vibrancy of Chinese heritage.
