Lakkhichhara's lakeside gig gives a musical touch to Poila Baisakh

This Poila Baisakh, Kolkata's celebratory spirit found a vibrant voice in a lakeside musical night, spearheaded by the popular local band Lakkhichhara, which had the entire city buzzing. The eagerly awaited event, aptly titled 'Ek Sathe Ek Bhabe', was hosted by a prominent rowing club in collaboration with a local chamber of commerce and resonated deeply with the city's music enthusiasts. The open-air venue by the water's edge was brimming with a lively mix of music lovers, dedicated fans of the band, and club members, all gathered for an evening of captivating performances featuring Lakkhichhara and other esteemed artists.

At the heart of the celebration was Bengal’s iconic rock band Lakkhichhara, who brought the house down with their chartbusters Prithibita Naki Chhoto Hotey Hotey, Jibon Chaichhe Aro Beshi, Paliye Berai, Amar Priya Cafe, Bhalo Thheko Sohor, and many more. The energy was electric as the crowd sang along, clapped, and danced, creating a wave of emotion and nostalgia. But what made ‘Ek Sathe Ek Bhabe’ truly unique was the coming together of genres, generations, and musical geniuses. Sharing the stage were some of Bengal’s most loved musicians — Rahul Shankar, Soumitro Ray of Bhoomi, Upal Sengupta from Chandrabindoo, and Raju Das Baul, all of whom added a pulsating vibe to the evening. From Bhoomi’s timeless hits to Chandrabindoo’s crowd-favorite numbers like Bondhu Tomay, each performance added a new layer to the energy.
