Kolkata’s retro dining destination known for its Anglo-Indian cuisine and live music, hosted a Christmas celebration filled with joy, music, and festive cheer. The event featured the legendary Sumit Roy – Kolkata’s King of Calypso along with the Carol singers, marking their third consecutive Christmas performance at the venue. The lively atmosphere transformed the entire Southern Avenue lane into a wonderland, as about 150 children from different NGOs danced and sang along to carols.

The performance included cherished Christmas tunes like Little Drummer Boy, Santa Claus Is Coming in a Boogie Woogie Chu Chu Train, Silver Bells, Mary’s Boy Child, Feliz Navidad, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, Jingle Bells (including a Bengali rendition), and Jingle Bell Rock. A special highlight was a rarely heard Bengali composition, Ki Moja Christmas, which captured hearts with its poignant lyrics. Speaking about the celebrations Shiladitya Chaudhury and Debaditya Chaudhury, founders of the iconic venue said, “We at Chapter 2 wanted to make this Christmas morning extra special for children by combining music, food, and gifts. The overwhelming enthusiasm we witnessed last year inspired us to host this celebration again. This has become an annual affair now and our patrons look forward to this grand celebration every year.”
