The book is about various hassles that women of our country generally face. It features stories of fifteen women who were victimised in our male dominated social structure. It portrays their journey, their stories. Here 'Ranga Dhaan' stands for a woman's ability to give birth to a child. And 'Gaan' stands for their suffering and bleeding within explained the author.
Jonaki Mukherjee is a noted educationist currently attached with the West Bengali Women's Commission being one of counselors. She even was in charge for counseling at the Alipore Central Correctional Home. Madhabi Mukherjee said, "A new Jonaki is born. The author with a sensible heart who tries her luck at writing on such a relevant issue is a great effort. I wish her good luck."
