When reel and real meet

Chandreyee Ghosh is on a high these days (TOI Photo)It was a party that rocked. But wasn't real for sure. On Sunday evening we spotted debutant director, Chandreyee Ghosh at a Ballygunge residence along with the Tolly brigade shooting for a party scene that went on till the wee hours of night. When we reached the spot, the actors were busy applying finishing touches to their make-up and sipping on steaming cups of tea.Chandreyee was her usual charming self, busy giving instructions to the crew. When we finally managed to speak to her, she told us how different this scene was. She quipped, "The entire sequence is shot in a docu feature style which sets it apart from the rest. Another thing which is interesting about the film is that all characters are named after the actors' original names.The sequence is a social collage, where people from all walks of life come together to celebrate an engagement party. Ananya Chatterjee plays an outsider and the whole scene is viewed through her." We also spotted director Tathagata Banerjee and his wife Nivedita Dey in a cameo. Anything for friends, we guess!
