Wedding reception of Payel, Dicky

Mousumi Chatterjee’s elder daughter, Payel’s wedding at a city club on Saturday, was a low-key affair.
It was a conscious decision to have the marriage here because of the strong roots shared with the city by both the bride’s family and that of the groom, Dicky. Nilaanjana, who was present there to bless the newly-weds, said, “We share a long association with Mousumi.In fact, she, apart from Deven Verma and Sanjeev Kumar, was instrumental in making Arjun (Chakraborty) take up acting. I remember she had come from Mumbai just to attend our wedding.” The highpoint of the affair was a live band playing Hemanta Mukhopadhyay’s tracks, apart from a delightful Indian spread.
