Tolly stars, musicians enjoy screening of an offbeat film

It was an intense evening when filmmakers, musicians, actors and others were spotted enjoying Indrasis Acharya’s Pupa at a city plex during a special screening recently. The director, who was busy attending the guests, looked content after the show.

“As an independent filmmaker, all I want is to show my film to as many people as possible. I am glad that so many guests turned up and enjoyed the film.Word-of-mouth publicity is what I bank upon,” he said with a smile.
Several members of the cast and crew were also present at the do. Musician Upal Sengupta, who was seen chatting with the composer of the film, Joy Sarkar, said, “The usage of background score in the film is just perfect. Besides, the camera work is also outstanding. It gave us a neutral perspective and hence we soon became a part of the film’s crisis.

Pupa is a smart, intelligent and intense film.”
