Thumri Utsav to take place this month

Shrutinandan is organising one of the biggest classical music

festivals

in Kolkata named

Thumri

Utsav and a number of notes sinegrs and musicians are going to perm in the festival. Along with noted classical

singer

Pt Ajay Chakraborty, Sreemoyee Acharya,

Arghya Chakraborty

, Ayesha Chakraborty and Ramakant Gaikwad will also be performing in the show. The performance will be done in Rabindrasadan on February 26.

Ajoy Chakraborty’s performance has been categorised under ‘special performance’ and he will be singing along with

Anol Chatterjee

,

Pt Yogesh Samsi

and Ut Murad Ali. Pt Ajoy Chakrabarty, one of the noted Indian classical vocalists of present time, has already received the Padma Shri in 2011 and Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1999. This year the singer received Padma Bhushan Award, the third highest civilian award.
