Stars galore at Tolly director’s marriage reception

Director Raja Chanda stepped into a new phase of his life as he got hitched to city-based model and actress Paean Sarkar recently. The wedding took place at the Sreerampore Rajbari, which was followed by a grand reception at a city resort.

From Prosenjit Chatterjee, Dev, Soham to Raj Chakrabarty, Subhashree, Sayantika Banerjee, Sourav Gangluy and others, everyone poured in to bless the newly-weds. Raja, looking dapper in a black suit, said, “Dev played a prank on the morning of my reception! He said he will be unable to make it to the event due to prior work commitments. I was really upset since Dev is a close friend. But when he entered the venue along with Rukmini sharp at 8.30 pm, I was pleasantly surprised.”

On honeymoon plans, Raja said, “At the moment, I am too caught up with the shooting of my upcoming film. After completing the Malaysia schedule, I will be in Titagarh next. Paean will be with her parents as of now. I will be travelling to Thailand soon for another shoot and after wrapping up all the pending work, we’ll plan our honeymoon. Getting married is a great feeling and I hope this new innings of my life is filled with positivity and happiness.”

Prosenjit was happy to see the director settle down with the love of his life. “The
happiness is clearly showing on his face,” he said. The reception also had a folk music jalsa and a lavish spread of Bengali dishes laid out for the guests.
