Rituparna sizzles as fashion and story-telling come together in Kolkata
A city lounge hosted a unique event that turned out to be a confluence of fashion and story telling. Conceptualized by Tina Mukherjee, styled by Kaushik and Rajat, the sequences were interspersed with poetry and stories. Though bridal and pre-bridal lehngas ruled the roost, there was a special section dedicated to Begum Akhtar and Kashmir.
As presenter SujoyProsadChatterjee read out verses of AghaSahid Khan, the models sashayed down the ramp to the tunes of Kashmiri folk songs.
Kathak dancer Madhulina Sen added variety to the fashion segments. Seen enjoying the drinks were the city's hip-and-happening glitterati.Koneenica Banerjee added, “The designs and colours were very interesting. This kind of show lightens up your day, just like Diwali." RachnaBanerjee, who was also present at the do, said, “I loved the silhouettes and colour combinations. The presentation was very good."
