If you wanted to start off 2009 with a bang, you should have... well, parked yourself at The Park on New Year���s Eve.
Pulsating music, exotic dancers, lip-smacking snacks, and above all, a rocking atmosphere ��� there was all this and more to ensure that the party people had the time of their lives. The Quantum of Desire at Tantra with Brazilian performers saw the mercury hitting the roof.���Half-an-hour to go for us to enter 2009,��� DJ Vishal announced, pepping up the tempo with the hottest chartbusters of the year. The minute-to-minute countdown countinued, and the frenzy rose to fever pitch when the dancers stepped on to the bar counter. At Aqua, the poolside was the perfect setting for the Sin Party as PYTs and their partners celebrated the night.
Elsewhere, at Rosewood Hall, the crowd came alive when Debojit of SaReGaMaPa crooned Bachna Ae Haseeno. The singer interspersed numbers from his own album, like Jeena, with filmi hits, adding a peppy shadher lau to get the crowd on its feet. ���Thoda Punjabi style ka gaana ho jaaye,��� was his introduction to Desi girl, which ensured that the desi and pardesi kudis in the house grooved along.
As the first minutes of 2009 ticked away, friends, families and lovebirds got clicking to freeze-frame the moment. The celebrations continued till the wee hours, making it yet another New Year���s Eve to remember!
