Parvathy Baul to perform at welfare concert

On February 1,

Parvathy Baul

will perform her chitra-katha-geeti Radhabhab at a city auditorium. The proceeds will go to support the welfare of underprivileged children and youth. Parvathy Baul's ability to connect with her audiences is legendary. She has performed in over 40 countries in many prestigious concerts and festivals.

The baul tradition, which represents a coming together of

, Sufi, Buddhist and many other folk traditions of music is a living testimony to the

of Indians for cultural and spiritual

at the grassroots level. Parvathy Baul’s way of life is the path of sahaj, the natural expression of the joy of being.
