When “Muktodhara”, directed by Shiboprosad and Nandita, had its premiere at a city theatre, it was nothing short of drama. <b>
When “Muktodhara”, directed by Shiboprosad and Nandita, had its premiere at a city theatre, it was nothing short of drama.
Said Shibu, “The movie hall was done up like the interiors of a jail and guests, who arrived, including the film’s cast and crew, emerged as though they were inmates.”
On the guest list were, of course, the lead actors, Rituparna Sengupta and Nigel Akkara, who even had handcuffs on in keeping with the theme of the movie.
Alokananda Roy, on whose experience the plot of the film was partly based, was present at the do too. ““Muktodhara” received a lot of applause and that gave me a high,” said the director.
