Saturday night at Someplace Else, The Park, was magical as keyboardist-cum-composer Louiz Banks enthralled listeners with some high-octane jazz fusion featuring Bala Bhaskar, Sheldon D’Silva and Gino Banks — Matrixx.
“Performing in Kolkata is like a homecoming to me. It is very inspiring and an out-of-the-world experience to play in front of such music-loving people.

As performers too, you feel like giving your best,” said Louiz.
The group belted out compositions like “Culture Shock”, “Futile Dream”, “Shiv Shakti”, “Time Square” and “High Wire”. “The compositions we played tonight are new fusion music. We played the same compositions at The Montreal Jazz Festival, this year. They will be released soon in the form of an album,” informed Louiz.
