All roads led to Tantra, The Park, on Friday. The nightclub was pulsating with energy as party animals turned up in full force to shake a leg to groovy electronic beats. As Tantra and Submerge turned the heat on with Richard Durand, Brute Force and Vishal Sinha at the console, there were takers galore. As DJ Vishal took to the console and churned out Tillman (Bass Fly), C Sharp (The Quest 2010 Mix), and Fly Away (Sean Tyas Mix), the crowd hit the dancefloor with a vengeance.
When it was time to apply some Brute Force to tracks like South American (DJ Fist Mix) and Around the World (Daft Punk 2010 Mix), the crowd was already like putty in his hands. Next, it was time for superstar DJ Richard Durand to give the crowd a taste of his music. As the hot producer and also one of the most technically accomplished DJs in dance music today churned out Chase the Sun (Durand Mix), On & Off (Durand Mashup), Silence (Durand Mix), the crowd went into a tizzy. The enthusiasm seemed to grow, with every passing minute as new-age music — trance and techno — caught the imagination of all and sundry. Former Sri Lanka cricketer
Russel Arnold, who was there for 45 minutes, was seen enjoying the music to the hilt.
